چکیده
Ultrafast laser-induced dynamics in a ferrimagnetic gadolinium iron cobalt (Gd/FeCo) multilayer with magnetization compensation temperature of TM = 320 K is studied at room as function laser-fluence and strength the applied magnetic field. The found to be substantially different from that archetypical GdFeCo alloys, depending on laser fluence one can distinguish two regimes. At low (⩽1.6 mJ cm-2), ultrafast excitation medium triggers spin precession an extraordinary large amplitude reaching over 30°. high (⩾2.2 pump heats point, reduces significantly process field-assisted reversal Gd FeCo launched. It argued such distinctly multilayers compared alloys due symmetry breaking numerous interfaces, giving rise additional surface anisotropy. dependence latter key ingredient mechanism multilayers. Controlling amount properties interfaces thus serve mean achieve efficient all-optical control magnetism.

Imaging small-amplitude magnetization dynamics in a longitudinally magnetized microwire
We have used time-resolved scanning Kerr microscopy to study spin waves in a magnetic microwire subjected to a bias magnetic field applied parallel to its long axis. The spin-wave spectra obtained from different points near one end of the wire reveal several normal modes. We found that modes of a higher frequency occupied regions located further from the end of the wire. This was interpreted in...
متن کاملPerpendicular magnetic anisotropy and magnetization dynamics in oxidized CoFeAl films
Half-metallic Co-based full-Heusler alloys with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA), such as Co2FeAl in contact with MgO, are receiving increased attention recently due to its full spin polarization for high density memory applications. However, the PMA induced by MgO interface can only be realized for very thin magnetic layers (usually below 1.3 nm), which would have strong adverse effects...
متن کاملTransient and Average Unsteady Dynamics of Single Polymers in Large-Amplitude Oscillatory Extension
Oscillatory rheometry has been widely used in bulk rheological measurements of complex fluids such as polymer solutions and melts. Despite recent progress on bulk oscillatory rheology, however, the vast majority of single polymer studies has focused on chain dynamics in simple on/ off step strain-rate experiments. In order to fully understand dynamic polymer microstructure and to establish conn...
متن کاملSmall Scale Effects on the Large Amplitude Nonlinear Vibrations of Multilayer Functionally Graded Composite Nanobeams Reinforced with Graphene-Nanoplatelets
The main purpose of the present investigation is to analyze more comprehensively the size-dependent nonlinear free vibration response of multilayer functionally graded graphene platelet-reinforced composite (GPLRC) nanobeams. As a consequence, both of the hardening stiffness and softening stiffness of size effect are taken into consideration by implementation of the nonlocal str...
